Job Description: The Senior Project Analyst (PA) is responsible for supporting successful management of multiple projects at any given time. Understands the project life cycle and can initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects. This position supports the Project Manager, Project Team and Customer via the execution and implementation of sound Project Management and System Engineering tools, processes and methodologies. These processes will ensure forward progress, highlight and mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with stated project objectives The PA analyzes projects with the overall objective of delivering solutions and services which meet the business objectives of FGS and the customer organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Executes multiple simultaneous projects within the Department of Defense/War Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) enterprise, with primary focus on Air Force (AF) ISR environments.
Supports Project and Program Managers by identifying potential issues that may impact the quality of services or interfere with the organization's ability to manage its risks. In addition to identifying issues, the Project analyst creates opportunities to address these issues more effectively.
Interacts effectively with senior leadership to articulate issues, conducts research as required to propose potential solutions, and helps design and deliver projects that successfully address the identified issues.
Provides assistance with the implementation of industry-standard processes for Program and Project Management throughout a Project lifecycle (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, Closing), to include project integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk and procurement management.
Assists with project initiation, estimation, planning, requirements gathering, analysis and design, technical reviews, integration, implementation, operational turnover, and project closing.
Assists technical leadership on project with the on-time development and delivery of project deliverables according to corporate and customer standards.
Monitors project commitments, ensures development and approval of planning documents, reviews technical requirements, and determines resource allocations.
Recommends corrective actions, participates in the formal project change control process, and attends technical reviews.
Tracks and escalates action items, monitors project delivery and client satisfaction, and communicates with all appropriate levels of management including internal and external (customer) management chains.
Prepares highly complex and detailed analysis in support of major programs, projects, contracts, or business unit and corporate goals. Provides data collection, analysis of data, presentations and reporting, database administration, project assessment, and creation and maintenance of templates, forms, and processes
Required Qualifications:
Ten years minimum analytical experience in a technical or business-related field, five of which must be in a Project Analyst or related role.
Demonstrate a positive work ethic, as well as a high level of organizational, planning and leadership skills with an ability to perform detail-oriented work.
Able to work within a flexible team environment with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of project support staff and stakeholders.
Able to multi-task among several projects while being detail-oriented with keen analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, as well as establish and maintain a strong customer focused working relationship.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required.
Desired Qualification:
Familiarity of AF ISR mission and targeting environment.
Familiarity of AF communications systems, networks and architectures
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) desired.
Proficiency with Microsoft Visio & Sharepoint/Intelshare.
Depending on the size of the projects, this position may fill multiple project discipline roles such as: configuration management, engineering process management, technical document management, risk management

Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.
Occasional standing while working in server rooms or at patch panels.

May require walking between different buildings or workstations.
Must be able to communicate clearly with technical teams and end-users.
