Job Description:
The Project Analyst is responsible for supporting successful management of multiple projects at any given time. Understands the project life cycle and can initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects. This position reports directly to the Project Manager and will be accountable to the Project Manager. He/she should be proficient in Microsoft 365 and have a working familiarity with Microsoft Project. The candidate must be organized and quick to respond to actions/data calls. Daily interactions will be with direct supervisor, client, and other members of the project teams.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Support Project Manager on day-to-day management of Project(s) tasks
Communicate with a project team and the project manager
Track project material from initial procurement through delivery to client site
Update material status in material tracking systems
Review project MELs to ensure all required material is accounted for
Review project goals, including the budget and timeline
Maintain project documents in accordance with the statement of work
Assist in all phases of project management
Responsible for capturing & managing requirements, tasks & schedules
Develop Project Plans, Integrated Master Schedules, System Requirement Documents, Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), and Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS)
Develop linkage of POA&M and action items as they relate to task outlined in WBS
Communicate with stakeholders and create reports about project progress
Predict potential issues, create solutions and complete work on time
Coordinate meetings and stakeholders as required
Support leading integrated planning teams (IPT) in achieving organizational goals
Develop & update monthly briefings in support of the client to the sponsor
Travel to support project sites as required
Assist in the development of Monthly Status Reports (MSR)
Track and assist in compilation of deliverables
Ensure all appropriate project files are stored and organized on FGS SharePoint and Govt FlankSpeed Program SharePoint Site.
Interface with Government Project Lead (GPL) and subcontractors on project status/action item updates
Assists PM by tracking and monitoring project spend plans, reporting notable findings to PM.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required
Ability to organize and manage numerous project files & working documents
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, as well as establish and maintain a strong customer focused working relationship
Ability to manage funding and understand various supporting spreadsheets
Ability to work within a flexible team environment with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of project support staff and stakeholders
Experience tracking material orders in commercial inventory management systems.
Desired Qualifications
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
Familiarity with Department of Defense project work and idioms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a strong ability to create, modify, and clearly communicate the structure and data within spreadsheets.
