Information Systems Security Officer (Osan AB, KR)

Job Description:
Perform Information System Security Officer (ISSO) core functions at the 694th ISR Group, Osan Air Base, South Korea. This is a normal day shift position: no evenings, weekends, or holidays are required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Develop and/or review for adequacy security artifacts and Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation that include, but are not limited to Security Concepts of Operation, System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, Plan of Action and Milestones, Configuration Management, Security Control Traceability Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) supporting IA control compliance and Test plans
  • Support RMF continuous monitoring to ensure ISR systems/networks remain compliant with NIST IA controls and manage the resolution of POA&M deficiencies
  • Process hardware, software, network, and system requirements (new/modifications) through security certification/approval processes defined by the Authorizing Official/Designated Authorizing Official with approval authority for the requirement 
  • Review/archive system audit logs
  • Provide media management support
  • Manage user accounts
  • Provide creation/deletion and troubleshooting assistance
  • Execute assigned duties with emphasis on implementation and application of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems IAW National Institute of Standards (NIST) Special Publications (SP) 800-37, 800-53, 800-53A and Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) Instruction 1253
Required Qualifications:
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • Two years experience as an ISSO or ISSM
  • Five years experience as an IT professional
  • Two years experience in the Risk Management Framework Process
  • Experience using Xacta or eMASS
Desired Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree
  • DoD 8570 IAM III
  • Network architecture and data flow knowledge
  • Experience with the following tools:eMASS, SCAP, ACAS/NESSUS, Fortify
  • Familiar with AF DCGS IT systems and networks
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Physical and Environmental Conditions:    
  • Requires Sitting (66%), Standing (15%), Walking (15%), Near Acuity (100%), Speaking (100%), Listening (100%), Sight (100%), Use of fingers and hands (100%)
  • Travel 5% CONUS.
