Hourly Wage Band: $27.50 to $28.84 per hour

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support Project / Program Managers
  • Track MELs within ServiceNow
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders are uploaded to ServiceNow
  • Create “Models” and “Assets” within ServiceNow for all material ordered for NAVAIR projects
  • Receive all material, machinery, chemicals and supplies as well as verifies shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival and prepare items for shipment to customers and/or return to supplier
  • Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc, develop and implement shipping and receiving procedures
  • Provide assistance with purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services
  • Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary
  • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
  • Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists and  prepare parcels for mailing
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers and track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories
  • Write and review product specifications, maintaining a working technical knowledge of the goods or services to be purchased
  • Enter serial numbers, end of life and warranty information in ServiceNow for all material ordered for NAVAIR projects
  • Print Barcodes from ServiceNow and place on all materials as they are received
  • Create transfer orders within ServiceNow when material is transferred
  • Upload all 1149s to ServiceNow as material is transferred
  • Seal all containers with tamper evident tape prior to shipping
  • Add tamper evident tape serial number to shipment in ServiceNow
  • Ship equipment to sites as needed and update ServiceNow with shipping info     
  • Follow up with sites to ensure material is “received” within ServiceNow
  • Maintain warehouse inventory in ServiceNow and ensure all material is barcoded and perform quarterly inventories
  • Assists with shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas and sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department and mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method. Open bales, crates and other containers.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. Assist in counting of physical inventory which includes weighing and counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Identify and report faulty equipment, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor.
  • Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times. Wear the proper safety equipment    

Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to receive and maintain a clearance
  • Self-starter/motivated individual; as the person at times will be working independently
  • Ability to work within a flexible team environment with excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with all levels of project support staff and stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task among several projects while being detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, as well as establish and maintain a strong customer focused working relationship
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and Word is required
  • Supervisory Experience

Desired Qualifications:
  • Hold a Trained Operator Forklift License or obtain a license within 2 months of employment

Physical Requirements: 
  • Must be able to Sit (40%), Stand 30%, Climb 20%, Walk 20%, Lift 50%, Push/Pull up to 50lbs, Carry objects up to 25 lbs 60%, Grasp 100%, Reach 30%, Stooping and Crouching 10%, Color determination 100%, Speaking with clients and peers 100%, Listening 100%, Sight and Use of fingers and hands 100%
  • Exposure to environmental conditions. Perform duties in the outside environments with exposure to cold and/or heat, wind, humidity
  • Subject to noise sufficient to cause employee to shot in order to be heard above ambient noise levels
  • Subject to exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body
  • Employee is subject to a variety of physical conditions, such as a proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals
  • Some CONUS and OCONUS travel required (30%)
