Job Description
Responsible for project network architecture design. Responsible for creating and updating documentation and architecture drawings for network systems in collaboration with stakeholders. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Engage with customer stakeholders to collect and validate requirements
  • Perform site surveys to collect system architecture information
  • Conduct end-to-end technical planning and design for network solutions
  • Provide impact analysis for existing systems to support new solutions
  • Create system design description documents and system architecture line drawings
  • Maintain system design revisions and final as-built drawings
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies
  • Enable architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio
  • Plan and execute deployment, configuration, programming, testing and customer training
  • Provide project level of effort, schedules, budgets, and project criteria for overall system design
  • Provide detailed Master Equipment List to meet project design requirements
  • Coordinate directly with procurement managers and vendors for material and services quotes
  • Provide industry best-practice sustainment methods for multi-vendor platforms
  • Provide quality standards and training for operational customer teams
  • Provide documentation of standardized procedures, methods, and configurations
  • Provide systems engineering and body of evidence documentation to support ATO requirements
  • Conduct DoD Approved Product list verifications
  • Assist ISSM/ISSO Risk Management Framework (RMF) analysis to secure IATT & ATO
  • Assist ISSM/ISSO with EMASS & XACTA package build/tracking/RFI management

Required Qualifications
  • Six years’ experience:
    • with Department of Defense (DoD) networks including, but not limited to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS
    • performing site surveys to collect system architecture information
    • creating system design description documents and system architecture line drawings
    • conducting end-to-end technical planning and design for network solutions
    • drafting detailed Master Equipment Lists to meet project design requirements
    • providing systems engineering and body of evidence documentation to support ATO requirements
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant certification
  • Understanding of IT client systems and computer network design, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and disaster recovery
  • Excellent organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently or with a team in dynamic environment; prioritize tasks; and keep abreast of the latest technology
  • TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI eligibility.

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in ANSI/TIA-942 data center design topology standards and principles
  • CCNA (Cisco Associate) or higher

Education Requirements
  • BS in computer engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or related field or 5+ years of relevant work experience
